Catchinary is an independent Pokémon TCG card reference. By using the site, you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language to keep the relationship simple.

1. What Catchinary is

Catchinary is a free, ad-free reference site that aggregates Pokémon Trading Card Game card data, set listings, illustrator credits, and market price information. Card data, images, and prices come from the public pokemontcg.io API and other publicly available sources. Catchinary does not sell cards.

2. Not financial advice

Pricing data, the Catchinary Index Value (CIV), movers, momentum signals, and any market commentary on the site are for informational and educational purposes only. They are not investment advice, trading advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. TCG prices are volatile and can swing on tournament play, anniversaries, reprint announcements, and hype cycles that the site does not predict. If you trade cards at any meaningful scale, treat Catchinary as a dashboard, not a signal.

3. Trademarks and intellectual property

Pokémon, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, all character names, all card images, and all related trademarks are the property of The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures Inc., and Game Freak. Catchinary is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of those companies. The site uses card images and names under fair use as a reference catalog. Site copy, layout, code, the CIV scoring system, and original editorial content are the intellectual property of Catchinary.

4. Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links on Catchinary, including links to eBay listings, are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, Catchinary may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Catchinary participates in the eBay Partner Network. Affiliate relationships do not influence which cards are shown, how the CIV score is computed, or the editorial content of the site.

5. Accounts and your collection

Catchinary does not require an account to browse cards, prices, or any reference content. If you choose to sign in (currently via Google OAuth) to track a personal collection, you authorize Catchinary to store the email address and name returned by Google, plus the cards you mark as owned. You can sign out at any time, and you can request collection deletion by emailing the address at the bottom of this page. Privacy details are covered separately on the Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Reasonable, normal browsing — including building tooling on top of the public pages — is fine. If you are unsure whether something is OK, ask.

7. Third-party data and services

Catchinary depends on third parties including pokemontcg.io for card data, eBay for live marketplace listings, Google for OAuth sign-in, and Cloudflare for hosting and content delivery. The site is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or behavior of those services. Prices, images, and listings can be wrong, stale, or missing for reasons outside Catchinary's control.

8. No warranties

Catchinary is provided "as is" and "as available" with no warranties, express or implied. The site does not guarantee that data is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose. Use of the site is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Catchinary, its operators, and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, resulting from your use of (or inability to use) the site. If a court finds that liability cannot be fully disclaimed, total liability is limited to USD $100.

10. Changes

Catchinary may update these terms as the site evolves. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
